We start in Horton-in-Ribblesdale and take a circular route onto Pen-y-Ghent at a relaxed pace to allow time to take photographs and admire the far-reaching views. There is a small amount of very easy scrambling as we approach the summit, but this is straight forward and easily within everyone’s capability. Once on the top we (hopefully) will be treated to far reaching views in all directions and this is a good time to stop for a short break. We will then continue towards Plover Hill as we leave behind the 3 Peaks challenge route. On the return to Horton-in-Ribblesdale we take the opportunity to visit the fascinating phenomenon of Hull Pot – a massive natural hole in the ground.
